Each year, we offer young people the opportunity to participate in hands-on or behind-the-scenes career exploration activities across the state of Minnesota. These activities are geared toward middle and high school students and are designed to spark interest, and increase awareness of the amazing careers that exist. SkillsUSA Minnesota invites members, as well as local schools, to participate whenever possible. These events help students match their passion and inherent skill set with the training or educational paths available to join the industry in the future.

We call these “Show Me Skills” events, and for the 2021-22 school year we plan to be visiting Valleyfair, bringing the Big Ideas mobile unit to Alexandria and Minneapolis, partnering with the National Center for Autonomous Technologies to bring DroneTech to members and schools around Thief River Falls, and building the type of relationship that allow us to offer experiences in the each region of Minnesota.
