Fall Leadership Conference
The decision has been made to move to a one-day, fully virtual Fall Leadership Conference to be held on Thursday, October 28th from 8:30am-2:30pm. The cost for student members will be a steal at $40 BOGO! This means that for every student you sign up you can register another attendee for free! Advisors will pay $20 for participation in the conference.
Registration for the event will open on Monday, Sept. 20th and will close on Friday, Oct. 8th at 5:00pm. Remember that all registrants must be registered members of SkillsUSA (although they do not need to have paid membership dues prior to registering). Don’t forget that any Advisor/School that registers students to attend FLC will earn a $25 Lowe’s eGift Card! You can see a quick look at the agenda for the event below!
Rest assured that this event is not meant to be a webinar where students will be “talked at”. Attendees will be working in small groups and be expected to participate much as they would in any small group setting. Students will have the opportunity to learn more about the SkillsUSA Framework, Parliamentary Procedure and the election of officers and formation of committees. They will also participate in a modified Chapter Excellence Program during the day and share out their work during the Color Chapter Open House at the end of the day!
Registration will take place through the SkillsUSA Membership site: https://www.skillsusa.
Please know that the decision to move FLC to a virtual experience in no way sets a precedent for our intentions for the rest of the year and conferences moving forward. We are absolutely planning for an in-person State Leadership & Skills Conference for April 7-10, 2022. Nationals is also planning for an in-person National Leadership & Skills Conference in June of 2022.
