This event is for student members interested in becoming a SkillsUSA MN state officer for the academic year, as well as other student member delegates that will represent their local/school chapter’s voting voice. Previously, SkillsUSA MN held officer elections in the Spring, but elections have been adjusted to the Fall in order to align more closely with both Secondary and Post-Secondary students’ school years.
Students who complete the State Officer Application form (located below) and attend the Delegate Assembly, will be considered for state office. During the Delegate Assembly, students will present their leadership skills and abilities to hold a state office. Students will not select the office for which they would like to hold, but rather officers will be elected and assigned to office positions by the State Director and association Board members present.
The 2022 Delegate Assembly will be held Tuesday November 22, 2022 at St. Paul College (235 Marshall Ave. St. Paul, MN 55102) from 8am - 2pm. Student candidates attending will need to prepare and deliver a short speech, go through an interview process, as well as have an opportunity to campaign for themselves. Voting for state officers will take place toward the end of the Delegate Assembly.
Please contact the State Office should you have any questions, need more information, or require assistance with any of the below Delegate Assembly forms.
